In a debugger, suspend means pausing the target process, not killing it. The OS scheduler simply stops giving the process CPU time, while all memory, threads, handles, and register values remain intact. You can resume execution with Continue / Run (F9). This is different from terminating or detaching, which would release the process from debugger control or end it entirely. Common debugger states: Running (executing freely), Suspended (paused at a breakpoint), Terminated (process ended).
